Our Service Model

Bar-Key is a dry-hire bartending service. We provide licensed, insured bartenders and full bar planning for your event. You purchase and own the alcohol.

• We never sell, transport, or mark up alcohol.
• Our team builds a personalized shopping list so you know exactly what to buy and how much.
• You keep every unopened bottle at the end of the night.

Licensing & Insurance

• Bar-Key carries both liquor liability and general liability insurance for every event.
• Every bartender on our team holds an Oklahoma ABLE Event Bartender License.
• We comply with the Marissa Murrow Act (HB 2369), effective July 1, 2026.
• Your venue or organization can be named as an additional insured upon request.

Responsible Service

Guest safety is our highest priority at every event.

• We check IDs for anyone who appears under 35.
• Our bartenders reserve the right to refuse service to any guest showing signs of intoxication—no exceptions, regardless of who they are.

Booking & Payment

• A 30% non-refundable deposit secures your date.
• The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event.
• Payments are accepted through our secure client portal (credit or debit card).
• If Bar-Key cancels for any reason, you receive a full refund of all payments, including the deposit.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

CANCELLATION

• 30+ days before the event: Deposit retained; 50% of additional payments refunded within 14 business days.
• Under 30 days: All payments are non-refundable.

RESCHEDULING

• Up to two reschedules are permitted within six months of the original event date.
• At least 14 days notice is required.
• A 30% rescheduling fee is applied to the remaining balance.

Overtime

If your event runs beyond the contracted time, overtime is billed at the following hourly rates:

• Bartender: $150/hr each
• Cocktail Server: $100/hr each
• Barback: $75/hr each
• Supplies & Mixers: $50 flat

Guest Count Changes

• We include a buffer of up to 25% over your contracted guest count at no additional charge.
• Beyond that threshold, a fee of $20 per guest applies.
• We ask for 14 days notice when possible for known count changes.

Gratuity

Gratuity is never included in your invoice and never expected. If guests choose to leave a tip, our team accepts it with gratitude. The quality of service your guests receive is always the same.

Weather & Outdoor Events

A covered area of at least 10×10 ft is required for the bar. If no covered area is available, a $175 Outdoor Coverage Fee applies.

For your safety and ours, service is temporarily suspended during:

• Tornado or severe storm warnings
• Lightning within 8 miles
• Sustained winds of 30+ mph
• Any hail
• Heat index above 115°F

Weather holds are honored for up to 90 minutes at no additional fee.

Media & Social Media

• By booking with Bar-Key, you grant permission for our team to capture and use event photos and video for marketing purposes.
• You may opt out at any time with a written request on the day of the event.
• When we share content captured by another vendor, proper credit is always given.
