How Far We'll Travel for Your Event (and What It Costs)

We're based in the Oklahoma City metro area, and most of our events happen within about 30 miles of downtown OKC. But great parties happen all across Oklahoma, so we go where you need us. Here is how travel works for your event.

Zone 1: OKC Metro (Included)

If your event is within roughly 30 miles of downtown Oklahoma City, you're inside our standard service area with no travel fee. That covers:

  • Oklahoma City (all neighborhoods)
  • Edmond
  • Norman
  • Moore
  • Midwest City and Del City
  • Yukon and Mustang
  • Piedmont and Deer Creek
  • Newcastle and Blanchard
  • Choctaw and Harrah

Zone 2: Extended Metro (30 to 60 Miles)

If your venue sits 30 to 60 miles from OKC, travel runs about $25 per crew member. We price it per person because we pay each bartender and barback for their drive time, so a two-person crew travels lighter than a full team. Common Zone 2 spots include:

  • Guthrie
  • Stillwater
  • Shawnee
  • Purcell and Pauls Valley
  • El Reno and Weatherford
  • Chandler

Zone 3: Regional (60 Miles and Beyond)

From 60 to 150 miles out, travel runs about $60 per crew member, and from there to roughly 270 miles it steps up to about $120 per crew member. Past that we quote individually, and very distant or multi-day events may include crew lodging. We regularly serve celebrations in:

  • Tulsa and the Tulsa area
  • Lake Texoma and the Durant area
  • Turner Falls and the Arbuckle Mountains
  • Medicine Park and the Wichita Mountains
  • Grand Lake and Grove

How Your Travel Fee Works

  • It's per crew member, not per guest. Travel is priced for each person on your crew, because we pay every bartender and barback for their drive time. The headcount that matters is the crew, not your guest list.
  • You'll see it upfront. Enter your event zip in our instant estimate and the travel total appears right away, so there are no surprises later.
  • It scales with crew and distance. A smaller crew close to home travels for less; a larger crew farther out costs a bit more. You only pay for the people actually making the drive.

Out-of-State Events

We occasionally serve events in North Texas, Kansas, and Arkansas, especially for repeat clients or larger celebrations. We quote these individually, and the quote includes travel, lodging, and any extra licensing the destination state requires.

Why There's a Travel Fee at All

Time is the real cost. A crew driving 90 minutes each way spends 3 hours that could have served another event. The travel fee covers that time so we can send your event the same quality team we'd send to a venue 10 minutes from our base. We'd rather be clear about a per-crew-member travel fee than hide it inside inflated hourly rates. You see exactly what you're paying for and why.

People Worth Traveling For

"We always take care of our people," says Bar-Key founder Patrick Wilson. The travel fee makes sure your crew is paid fairly for their drive time, because a bartender who drove 90 minutes to reach your venue deserves to be looked after, just like your guests do.

That care runs both ways. When our crew feels valued, they bring better hospitality to your bar, and your guests feel the difference all night.

Ready when you are.

Tell us about your event and we will take it from there.
